Charging in Australia: what to know
Cars sold in Australia use the Type 2 plug for AC charging and CCS2 for DC rapid charging, with CHAdeMO surviving on older rapid units. AC posts usually have a socket only, so carry your own Type 2 cable. Public pricing is per kWh, and contactless card payment is now common on rapid chargers.
